EFT Tapping

Tap into the best version of you
What is EFT?
EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), also known as ‘Tapping’, is an evidence-based energy psychology that combines modern psychology with acupressure. It’s often described as ‘acupuncture without the needles’.
It involves tapping your fingertips on acupuncture points on the hands, face and upper body, whilst focussing on uncomfortable thoughts and feelings to relieve physical pain and emotional intensity.
Tapping these points sends a calming signal to the amygdala (that part of our brain in charge of that all too familiar fight or flight response), making it much easier to access, process and release intense emotions around the issue or memory you’re working on.
As a mind-body modality, it’s the perfect combination of cognitive and somatic therapy, which has proven to be especially helpful when working with PTSD, or if you’re someone who finds it hard to connect with their body or emotions.
It’s an empowering tool that helps shift your state quickly and safely, leading to lasting and profound results in reducing fear & anxiety, managing stress and feeling more grounded within yourself by rewiring unhelpful thought patterns.
After 1 hour of Tapping cortisol levels dropped by 43%
Journal of Evidence-Based Integrative Medicine Study 2019
Depression scores dropped by over 30% with 4 days of Tapping
My Approach
I am a Certified Clinical EFT Practitioner that creates a safe space for you to explore and process your own emotions at your own pace, a space where you can bring all parts of yourself to without judgement.
We'll address and re-frame deep rooted beliefs, habits or trauma by identifying the problems quickly with love, compassion and a drop of humour (because healing can already be serious enough!). It’s a fully collaborative journey, and I’ll help tailor each session to your needs so you get the best out of it.
I see EFT a bit like playing ‘detective’. I will ask the right questions at the right time to help you uncover more clues in your subconscious, which usually leads you to the root of the issue. Like any good mystery tale, sometimes the root of it will be something you never would of expected! But you then have to power to work with it, release it and rewrite your story.
I have a background in art & design, and am also a certified Picture Tapping Practitioner, so creativity is at the forefront of my work. I’m a visual thinker and my strengths lie in intuitively working with symbols and metaphors that come up in client sessions to create big shifts.
EFT could be especially helpful if:
★ You find it hard to feel your emotions…or you feel them too much and get overwhelmed
★ You’re an over-thinker, aware of your patterns but still stuck in the same loop
★ You feel disconnected from your body
Is it for me?
★ You want to learn a tool you can use to regulate yourself
★ You’ve hit a block on an issue you’ve been working through that won’t shift
★ You want a safe option to work through trauma without having to disclose info about it
How to start your journey
1. Choose your Focus
EFT works best when it’s specific (e.g. ‘feeling depressed when I go to work’ rather than ‘my depression’). I recommend choosing a Focus Area below and getting as detailed as you can about your issue.
2. Book your Intro Call
This is FREE 20 minute chat over Zoom where we will discuss the issue you want to work on, chat about your goals, and ask any questions you have before booking.
3. Let’s get tapping!
We will get a date booked in for your first session and decide how many sessions are best for you.

It really depends on the issue you’re working on, for example, working on feeling nervous about an interview will likely be worked through in less sessions than a traumatic memory.
This is where booking a free Intro Call is helpful as we can decide between us what works best for you.
Generally I would allow for approx 3-4 EFT sessions or 2-3 Picture Tapping Sessions to see a substantial shift in your issue.

Yes, EFT is renowned for a being a safe trauma-informed practice and has seen amazing results working with PTSD in particular.
We take everything at your own pace. I am trained in working with trauma and we have several methods in EFT that allow you to work with traumatic memories without even having to say it out loud or visualise it.
I am also required to be in regular supervision by EFT International to ensure I’m giving you the best care. If I ever feel like you need extra support that goes beyond my current training you will get referred out to a more specialist practitioner with your consent.

EFT is a very safe and gentle practice, but you may temporarily experience some of the following during or after your tapping session: yawning, crying, burping, sneezing, feeling tired or lightheaded.
This is just due to energy moving in the body and is nothing to worry about, in fact we embrace seeing these come up as it means something is shifting. It is recommended to keep well hydrated before & after your session to help with the flow of any of these mild affects.

I am mostly online for now, but I can do in-person sessions on special request based in a therapy space in East Dulwich, London. There will be an extra £15 charge for this option. Email me directly or book a free Intro Call to discuss.

Nope! I will be guiding you the whole time, and if you do miss a point it won’t affect the process or the result.
